multiple lowrance sonars in same boat

Trouthunter

Question

I've got a buddy that has a LMS480 and a new LCX-27c in his boat. Each has it's own ducer, one in the trolling motor and another that is mounted on the stern. All that firepower, and I was shocked when he told me that he could only run one at a time! Is there a trick to getting them to operate simultaneously without interference?

On the LCX-27 if you have the dual frequency transducer set the frequency to 50 mhz (or Khz something frequency) rather than the default 200 and you shouldn't have that problem. If not you can buy an new dual frequency transducer.

I have an x-15 console and an x-87 bow and mine do the same thing. I have even contacted Lowarnce about it and they said to change the ping speed one at 50 one at 100 to throw the return times off, but that didn't help either for me. So one at a time now...one for mapping, one for reading.
