again this year, riddled with the talk of doping... will these guys ever quit? Ras is in the lead, but is he clean?

Used to be fun to watch the tour, now it's pretty sad.

Huh?... I didn't hear that yet.. I know he was dropped from his national team for missing 2 different drug tests(ing may and june).. I forget which national team he is from(denmark maybe). But I have heard nothing of him being pulled from the Tour De France and or Rabobank?

Your not thinking of alexander vinokourov whos whole team was yanked because of the blood dope?.. The person whom I felt the worst for was Kloden whom was in 4th place at the time.. thats just wrong.. If I were him.. I would be #@%!^!^@!

Been a fan of the TdF for years, I remember watching Armstrong abondon the TdF during a climb the year before he was diagnosed with cancer. Of course I was a huge Lance fan and enjoyed watching him stomp everyone in those mountain stages.

The doping and cheating has gotten so bad I don't know who to believe. I was just starting to get into the TdF this year, and then all the controversy hits again...

Most of the real tour favorites aren't even in this years race, they have all been suspended for doping in one form or another. They really need to start doing something drastic to clean up this sport.

...or had they been cheating before the doc's figured out how to test for it? Most of the time drug tests are reactive, not proactive, to current chemical wonders. And if you pull out all of the dopers (which I do NOT have a problem with) there will still be a winner, just not in as spectacular a way as you have been treated to in the last 10 years or so.

In no way am I accusing our man Lance of doping; I think his body was stripped down due to cancer and completely rebuilt through training and modern medicine in such a way to tear the competition apart.
