flatheads and rising water?

being new to flathead fishing I have a few basic questions related to how rising and falling water levels affect flathead fishing.

Yesterday I finnaly went to Moore's and got my abbu garcia 6500, spooled it up and am ready to rock (even pre fished my favorite bullhead spot so I can have fresh bait the night of).

I was hoping to shore fish Thurs night on the MN river, from 8:30pm to whenever.

Supposing the rain we get today and tommorow is measurable, in what way should I alter my fishing?

I'm still learning to read water as it is, but just wondering if anyone would be willing to share some advice/experiance. Thanks

I would advise not worrying about it right now. Although these rains are nice they're not too much of a difference maker. We need bunches and bunches for a real difference to be made. Good luck with your new reel.

I agree with Rushing...

These rains will have little to no effect on the fishing right now.

Its going to take A LOT of rain to even get the creeks flowing. With that said, most of the creek beds are way up and out of the water right now anyway.

I'm still keying off deeper water and swifter current. Not exactly fishing in the deeper water but I gotta be close to it.
