merc xr6 150 prop size?

my buddy has a merc xr6 150 on a 1850 sporthawk right now he is running a 14.5x21 and a 14.5x19 props and he says it just doesn't feel right. almost like he is not running enough rpm's. what prop size is everyone else running?

19" Tempest Plus. That should put him just about prefect. If his are alum props, that is the reason it feels poor, those motors need/want SS.

Im thinking a 14 by 19 tempest too but call Jay Soderbloom and ask him what he recomends. Very knowledgable guy and he has fantastic prop prices. www.soderbloom.com

acually i should of updated this, talked to my buddy a little more about the problem and sound like the carbs are gummed up he was getting less rpm's than i thought so he will clean the carbs and see if that works. thanks for the replies.
