what's your favorite way of going for pike and musky that involves a bobber as part of your presentation?

Just a plain sucker minnow with a heavy enough split shot to keep him down there and not able to swim back up.

I use a quick-strike rig on a big sucker and let him swim freely, up or down. (Obviously limited by the length to the bobber.) If the muskie spies him, he'll track it until he's ready to strike. I've seen them take a sucker that's right on the surface. A lot of sucker activity and surfacing can be a good sign because it could be a big muskie making him nervous.

Guess I never thought of that option, I just always liked to keep them down a little farther above the weeds.
