Kenora or Sioux Narrows? Next weekend.

Hello,

I am trying to plan a quick two day trip to Canada next weekend. We will drive up Saturday morning and fish most of the day Sat. and half a day on Sunday. My question is do we fish in Sioux Narrows, or go to Kenora? We were looking at staying at Crystal Harbour Resort Motel in Sioux narrows. Does anyone know about this place or have any recomendations for a one night stay in either Sioux Narrows or Kenora? Also how is the fishing going right now, better in Kenora or Sioux Narrows? Mainly looking for walleyes but may talk the old man into going for smallies if we could get into them.

For such a quick trip either would have advantages. Getting to Sioux Narrows would be about an hour quicker. Most of the walleye spots are out a ways from Sioux Narrows. You can find decent walleye spots not far from Kenora.

I'd have to agree...Kenora will add a little drive time, but you are on top of walleys within 10-20 minute drive of Kenora. From SN, you'd be 30-40 minute boat ride to get in to walleye waters.
