one thing about les stroud, for a canadian, he can't ever seem to catch a fish. i've watched him try some really dumb things to catch a fish and he comes up empty. now bear, i've seen him catch trout before.

True, he can trap but he just can't fish or hunt. One episode he was trying to hunt grouse with a sling shot he had just made in foliage that you couldn't see past 3 feet in.

At least Les tries to show you how to actually survive a bad situation instead of how to get yourself killed with some of the stuff Bear pulls.
