the squirrel
Is there any ice covered ponds yet? I know its early but it does not seem to get above freezing up in the northland these days!
berfish
I have seen a few small ponds frozen over very early in the morning when i have been out duck hunting or grouse hunting. But I think the sun melts the ice away or the wind breaks it up later in the afternoon. It shouldn't be too far away from ice if the temps stay like this.bf
Renneberg
I just got back from Ely and all of the beaver ponds had ice on them. Many of the bigger one had just a thin layer, but some of the smaller ones had enofe around the edge for the dogs to stand on, but it started snapping when she stepped on in. The ice also stayed for the entire day too, but the day time highs barely mad it into the low 30's.Still a good sign winters on its way.------------------Study to be quite
