Prop

8-Ball

Question

OK- I have a 90 2-stroke Johnson, but it does not troll down enough for me. I don't want to mess with a drift sock. I have a trolling motor, and use it. But, there are times and situations, especially fishing after dark, where I don't want to drop the trolling motor in to troll. I also know about the add-on devices I could put on to the area above the prop. Don't really want that, either. What size prop would you suggest I look at so I can troll down slower? Again, I have a 90 hp 2-stroke pushing a 1750 Sportfish. Thanks in advance..

It gets changed before I drop it in-thanks for that key piece of advice just the same. I am looking for others recommendations about said subject- that is why I posted the topic, and that is what this forum is all about, I think. Take your sarcasm somewhere else.

If you decide to do this you will need to watch your RPM's and adjust your throttle position accordingly when moving in between fishing locations - otherwise, depending on where you end up with the prop you could be bumping up against the rev limiter.
