Zoom on Lowrance X25C?

Our 25C only zooms to 1/16 nm, but the X17 zooms to 0.04m.

Is there a function that I can set to get the 25 to zoom in further? or is that just the way it is. Seem strange that the 17 gets in closer.

Is unit set up for nautical miles instead of miles ? I don't have my manual or unit so I can double check if it is a possibility but will take a look this weekend and see what mine will go down to.
