Ok I have read a few other posts on this issue and dont want to waste anyones time but here is my particular situation on my 1992 Evin. 90hp V4.
I bought it last year. I hit the switches on the motor once when I first bought the boat, with no results. I figured I could live without it since the controls on the handle by steering wheel work. A couple of months ago it took a few tries to get the motor up when leaving the lake and it had to be done by repeatedly quickly pushing the up button on the back of the motor until it made it up. It took about a half hour. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden I have only down on the handle up front and only up by quickly pushing the button on the back again. I took it in to a shop and they said it needs new tilt motor to the tune of $550. I replaced the relays and it made no difference. Is there a difference between relays and solenoids?? I have seen quite a bit of mention about solenoids in other posts on this subject but not relays. I hate electrical issues. All that being said, how much of a chore is it to replace it myself? I will have to make the decision tomorrow.
Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there. About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway. Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work. You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water. When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
