reflective signs on ice houses

wasnt it suppose to start this year with reflective tape or decales on ice houses??i
dont remember any specifics abouts length or
requirments,getting the portables ready soon
and it came to mind,anyone heard anything new
on this issue???

This was put in place last year, but this is the first year they will be issuing tickets for those without them. As far as I know they are only required on houses left overnight. And I don't think it was much like 2-4 sq. in per side is all that is required.

Just check the regs for exact details I know its in there.

It started last year but was not enforced,you have to have at least 2 square inches of reflective material on each side of house if left overnight page 42 reg book I also put it on my portables for safety

Yes, It did start last year and you are suppose to have 2 sq. inches of reflective material on every side of your house.
I would put it on just for safety b/c when its dark out its hard to see things in front of ya some times.

So what's the best stuff to use? I've got a Trap II, so I'd need something I could sew in, I guess.

Reflective snowmobile markers work good,but they are in a diamond shape.
Or you could put reflective tape on a piece of metal and screw holes in it and sew that on.
Thats all I can think of right now.

there are many items that use reflective cloth out there now ,maybe check good will or something like that,,jogging vest's,emergency responders gear etc,I,d bet that your local volunteer fire dept.s have lots of junk turn out equipt.in the store room that could be had for a small(or large) donation,& it could be sewed onto the portables,,Flag up,Tightlines,,Mark
