Pagz
I've been hearing some bass fishermen talking about some lakes in the Metro/Chisago area where the bass have what they called "Bass Virus". They said the symptoms are red "sores" on the body. I caught some bass last week and saw about 40 percent of them had these "sores" on the body and in and around the mouth.Has anyonye else seen this? And do you know what will happen to the fish? Does it eventually kill them and will it ever go away? This is first time I've heard of this. Thanks for any responses. EBass
http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/volunteer/janfeb03/fnbassvirus.html(DNR link - please don't wax)You mean this? There is also another virus that affects all fish found in the great lakes out east. (Makes them bleed out and makes there eyes buldge) It made its way to green bay - I just watched some fishin show about that last weekend. It's sad - very sad. I found it - VHS virus. Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia. Google it and there's a lot of info out there. But how to stop it?
