Loons rearing loons — a series

Hey all:

These were taken over two summers and three separate pairs of loons on two lakes in northern Minnesota. Many of you here might recognize some of these, but I've never presented them as a series before.

My photo excursion clients and I will be working over the next two weekends to capture more black fuzzy chick photos on a small lake near my home, and I hope to post some homeruns after that, instead of these base hits.

I guess my biggest wish on the final few images, the ones with chicks, is that the light wasn't so hot. I'll be working on that in the next few days. Photography is a journey, not a destination, right? grin.gif

All with the Canon 20D and Canon 100-400L IS at iso400 and handheld from a boat
