Are there any ways to tell from the packaging if you are getting a new updated unit or a last years model?

It is my understanding that they can check by serial number. Vexilar knows at what serial number they started with the "fix" included. You may want to call them if you are thinking about buying. They told us last year what serial numbers needed to be brought in etc.

Hopefully "Vextech" still keeps an eye on this site. He/she was very helpful last year. Scott Steil
