thrashing fish ????

I was on (Contact Us Please) this weekend fish shallow rocks.seen a fish thrashing on the surface not jumping almost like he was chasing bait. lasted for about 10 seconds. I moved in for a closer inspection and seen huge carp swiming around. never seen a carp do that seen them jump but not thrash at the surface like that.was just wondering if any of you guys have seen carp do this?

Yes I have witnessed this in the past and on Waconia and Tonka in the last week. I believe the carp are spawning. They sure know how to tear it up.
