99 honda bf 75

my prop shaft seal went out on the honda bf 75. how difficult is it to replace the seal. are there any tricks i need to know or is straight foward?

To do the job properly you would need to remove and dissasemble the lower unit, then install the new seal with the correct seal installation tool. Otherwise a shortcut would be to hook the seal out from the rear and install a new one using the correct sized pipe in lieu of a seal installation tool. It can be done, but be careful, its easy to bend the seal and get a leak doing it that way.
