ChemMechanicInc
If you are wide open, trimmed out as best you can, what is the MINIMUM depth you can buzz before the skeg will catch?I can stay on plane and trim up quite a bit before I get too much cavitation and foul out.Assuming I would not have to turn (can't do it trimmed up so far) if I was on full plane and trimmed to the max that I could before losing power (or water to my cooling system) I would clear...16"....I think. This is a 17' Lund with 70 hp tiller. What can you (or do you think you can) clear before knocking up? art321
Sorry guys, my computer crashed and I had to start clean. Not a newbie, but here none-the-less....... Yeah, leave it to Riverpro to attempt to set the depth standard on an apples to oranges standard. Do clarify........prop vs. jet. Glad to hear you can do it RP. Love that stretch of river and wish I could do it in my other boat but the canoe will have to do. You danged fancy show off!!!!!!
