Metro Musky Tourney

Recommended Posts

I am with a friend. And were going the hard route.....

St. Croix River. I just love the river, and decided that it would be cool to place on the boards from the Croix. My partners been out throwing hooks, and, well, its not looking so good. It will be a fun day anyways.

Didn't fish the tourney and didn't look at results Sat PM, as I try to stay from the PC on the weekends.

Didn't take me long to figure out the lake I was on Sunday AM produced good results, as I watched boat after boat helicoptering out Mag Dawgs. Lot of added pressure coming for a 200 acre lake.

Yes, that was me, complete with red neck and sunglass temple marks to prove it! Nice chatting with you for a few......

Did you guys move anything? I threw for a while more but the recreational traffic took over.

I fished the Croix, and we found the fish, just couldnt connect. crazy.gif We had 9 follows in 1 area on the same color, and four of which we knew were different fish.

I did however connect with a 39" nortron that has been eating, alot. Im starting to notice on the days we get northerns, we cant connect with muskies, and vice-versa.

Is this me, or has anyone else noticed this?

Hey Channelfats, Can you give me some pointers on locating fish in the St. Croix? What to look for, ect. I would like to start fishing rivers more for skis. Thanks.
