To cover or not?

In the winter when there is salt and sand on the road I always use my trailerable ATV cover so the machine doesn't get sand blasted. This summer I will be trailering my ATV to Idaho. Would you run with or without the cover? Any pros or cons I should consider? Thanks in advance for replys.

I would cover them, the wind drag should be minimal. If you already have the cover why not use it.

The one downside to covering I can think of is wind buffeting. Parts of the cover that continuously flap and rub against the ATV will likely leave a mark there. I have that bad on my outboard so I dont cover unless I know its going to rain or go down a gravel road.
