Scenic
The Glow Devil Jigging Spoons represent the action of an injured minnow that is unable to escape. Often times fish will eat something if it is in their faces but they do not want to pursue or chase their food very aggressively. This spoon has a quick drop and is also quick to become neutral. This is helpful for the fish that are often times either not all that hungry or are not in the mood to chase their food. When jigged the Glow Devil Jigging Spoon draws their attention with its action and colors and then can be jigged right in their faces. If you see a fish on your locators looking at your presentation but it will not hit, simply tease that fish by jigging the spoon lightly. The spoon will flip and flutter around for the time you are jigging it and then return right in the face of this fish. With the spoon tipped with any type of bait the bait provides smell which further enhances the desire for a fish to eat it.Another benefit to the Glow Devil Jigging Spoon is that often times the fast fluttering drop will cause impulse competition. Often time we have seen where several fish have came off the bottom to meet the presentation. You see them competing to see which one can get to the lure first. Fish will often times hit a lure simply on impulse. They will strike not always just to eat but often times just to prevent another fish from getting it first. Once they have it in their mouths they will either just simply hold it in there until they are hungry or they will spit it out. Watch for the upcoming article “Spoon Feeding”!!Good luck!!Jeff

Guest
I have not tried the Red or Blue glow yet. I have one of each sitting here waiting to get used though. The Red Glow is amazing. When Jeff told me about this one last year I couldn't figure out how it was going to glow as brite of Red as Jeff talked about. But, it is really amazing how brite red that little Glow Devil Glows. You really have to see it to believe it. I am sure it will be a hit not only in stained water but in clear lakes as well. I had ice on the puddles in my driveway this weekend so it can't be long now. Crappieman
Ok, I loved at these and they looked like Angle eyes spoons. What is the difference?
Twitter
Scott, I'm with you !! Just got my Glow Devils when I got home from the weekend and I was AMAZED at how bright the RED glowed !!In full light the red looks to be a sort of pink or almost beige, but turn the lights out and the flourescent BRIGHT RED glow was AMAZING !! I've never seen a red glow in the dark paint that was so intense.I can hardly wait to try them out on LOW and URL.Twitter
Guest
Crappieman, they are really not even close to an Angel Eye. The Angel Eye & Angel Eye Jr. are very light spoons that have a unique flutter on descend. The Glow Devils fish quite a bit heavier and have action that is more typical of a jigging spoon on descend. However, there are three differences between a Glow Devil and any other jigging spoon. The Glow Devils have:1) Better Paint2) A Better Hook3) A design that will catch more fishScott Steil
Drake
Do you think the Glow Devil will perform as well on the crappies at Upper Red (or when we are jumbo perch fishing) as the angel eyes or do you think the angel eye jr.'s are more the right size/weight. Can't wait to get our order in...we have heard some great reports on the angel eyes and are looking forward to trying them out! ------------------Drake Moteldrakemotel.com(888)253-8501[email protected]
Guest
Drake, During the tournament on Red last year my partner was using the Pink/Glow- Angel Eye and I was using the small Perch/Glow- Glow Devil. They each caught a lot of nice slabs, but the Glow Devil caught a lot more walleye and perch. I only made it up to Red three times last year but the glow devil worked every time. I would imagine the ALL GLOW one will be a hit this year on Red. Scott Steil

Guest
While jigging mille lacs last year, I used a similar lure that doesn't come in nearly as many colors. 90% of my fish where caught on this lure. If I would have had this selection I would have been unstopable. Take one these babies and tip it with the smallest liveliest minnow through the lips and you're in with the ultimate jiggin machine. Now I just have to convince my self to buy some of the glowdevils instead of paying 2 bucks a piece for the other ones.

CNY Tim
That spoon looks awfully familiar to the shearwater thumper spoons I use. In clear water I do best with the blue/nickle and nickle back, also the green/glow for the perch in the stained water lake I fish here in NY. I want a catalog so I can order. The devils spoons pricing is unbelievable compared to what I paid for my thumpers. There what I have been looking for at an unbelievable price... I want to order now! I just ordered two of the 1/8 oz. cards.... Can't wait till they arrive. Your saving me some cash fella's appreciate it.[This message has been edited by CNY Tim (edited 10-30-2002).][This message has been edited by CNY Tim (edited 10-30-2002).]
Guest
Has anyone had a chance to try the Glow Devils yet? They work well in open water also. Our last time up to LOW, my wife did real well jigging them over the rocks. She was using the Perch/Glow and it was outfishing everything else I tried. Both walleye and smallies! Unfortunatly the wind blew the next three days and we never did get back to that bite. Scott Steil
Guest
I use the 1/8 ounce and they may be small but they work. The hooks are slightly over-sized and give you a lot of hooking power. You will be glad you bought them. It is that small size that makes them so effective during the dead of the winter. Sometimes it is hard to get those finicky mid-winter walleye to bite on a larger jigging spoon. The Glow Devils seemed to work all year long. They worked on First Ice in NE South Dakota and kept working right through Auger Extension season on LOW. Keep us posted. Guest
ScottS, I hope they work for me as well as they work for you. After reading about how good these lures are, I was hooked into buying a set. I was going to add to my angel eye collection, but your testimonial persuaded me otherwise. Actually, this is a good price for a dozen glow lures. I'll be sure to brag on this forum this winter after I use them. Did you say you used the 1/8th ounce lures for walleyes? They look a little small. I can see why the crappies would bite on these. Guest
Welcome Coldpole! I think you will find the Glow Devils will work excellent on Devils Lake. A nice small crappie minnow and a little hole hopping and you will be on those jumbo's in no time. Welcome to the forum and keep us posted on how you do with the Glow Devils! Fish On! Guide Service
Just received my order of spoons. Now thats what I call prompt service! I can't wait to tie one of these bad boys on. The weather is a bit disappointing, eh? I was looking forward to ice fishing before turkey day and with weather like this, I might as well leave the hard water equipment in the garage. Not a chance, I've got the fever!! Who am I kidding? Anyway, the spoons look nice and those blood colored hooks should definately help ice a few more fish.Fish On!Stephen
