Saw a couple pics of their cars and they looked SWEET!Dirt late models piloted by NASCAR drivers, how cool is that???
OUTDOORNUT
I watched as much of the coverage that FOX Sports had on their HSOforum. That would have been a great event to attend! I thought they said Soon to be Papa Gordon hadn't raced on dirt since 91'!?
LMITOUT
They had some pre-race coverage and driver interviews on that ESPN show "Nascar Now" last night. Thank goodness Alan Bestwick is back. That show may actually be watchable now. Gordon hasn't raced there since '91? Well Montoya hadn't raced on dirt....EVER! I couldn't believe he was there when they showed the lineup for the race. He had never raced a late model let alone dirt. I bet that was an eye-opener for the ol boy. I scanned my PPV but didn't see it listed. I was curious how much it would cost to watch, but apparently it was on HBO or something, which I don't subscribe to.

Papa Grump
Quote: Dirt late models piloted by NASCAR drivers, how cool is that??? And for a good cause. Some really good photos on the Eldora site . It's nice to see them put their egos aside and let some real racing happen. I'll bet the drivers talk about all the fun they had on the dirt for some time. Good to see Carl win, and Jeff sure didn't forget on how to wheel a dirt car, but I was betting on Ken winning since he started on the pole and still races weekly on the dirt.
