Eastwind
Sounds like you are staying at Muskie Bay resort. For Lakers I would just fish Crow as it is a lake with good potential to always catch Lakers, with the occassional bigger one. I f you to travel about five to eight miles from where you will launch in Stevens Bay you could go over the Turtle Portage in to Whitefish Bay on LOW. The Lakers will be bigger on average but fewer. However, it takes a lot of time and energy that would be better used reeling in fish on Crow. For Walleyes you should just find wind blown shallow shorelines with sand or rock bottoms, narrows between islands and deep points if you need to get out of a strong wind. Bring a good map of LOW and/or have a mapping GPS along. There are some tricky turns between Stevens Bay and Turtle if you make that trip. Good luck. bushdoe
Miles Bay has been good. Lots if 1#-1 1/2# walleye, 12- 24 feet. Casting sand & rocks for smallies & find a little weeds in these areas you will get some northerns. I have been averaging 40 - 50 walleye in the morning hours and 10 smallies and a few northerns on the way back home from Miles Bay the past few days. Crappies can be bobber fished in the weeds in Stevens now.
