Reel Don
I've been having good results using a drop shot rig for eyes. However, whereever there are eyes, there are usually pike. I'm getting tired of getting bit off by hammer handles! Is there anything any of you have done to help prevent this?
weekendjunkie
try using a three way swivel on your dropper then running something a little heavier on the leader end. I like the 10 xt in low vis grn. seems be a little tougher for those gators to saw through.
Jeremy airjer W
I do something simular. I tie on two swivels, one on the end so I can change sinkers faster and one at whatever hight I want the lure at. I tie a "leader" onto my jig and attatch that to the other swivel, again to change out the lure quicker. I discover drop rigging for walleyes last year. I usually hit the St. Croix in the spring for walleyes and have always had to fight the current. Drop rigging works great for this!!
dlg
Do you use plastics or live bait? Or both?
