Big Marine??

Hey Guys...I'm still new here been lurking around for a while and finally joined today...but here's my question...i went out on Monday to Hopefully fish on big marines' and when i got to my usuall spot where i launch they said it was closed anyone have any idea when it will open up again or what is going on? either way i went up to North and south lindstrom lake and had a good fishing day.

i believe it is closed for the whole year.

Is this the launch on the northside of the lake? I thought that was the only launch on Big Marine.

I will do my best to check this out this weekend... I have heard that the north lauch is out for the year as well.. But want to see it with my own eyes...

There are 2 other access on the south end. One is a dirt/earth landing.. the other may be a pay landing?...

i believe this is the south side one that's closed...i've never launch on the north side...i've seen it crusing the lake but never knew how to get to that spot with the car....anyone know why they would close it for the year?

I'm guessing remodeling it to make it bigger because there are always people parking on the road, on both sides. That ramp fills fast and early.

All of our Minnesota metro lakes ramps should be similar to the new Wabasha launch site. That ramp is top of the line.

I live on the west shore of Big Marine. The southwest access (off of County Rd 15)is closed for the year. The county is putting in a new ramp as well as other improvements as they develop the newest Washington County regional park. I think they're also putting in a swimming beach and picnic area adjacent to the boat launching facility. There is another launch site on the southeast corner but it's really shallow. To the best of my knowledge, I believe the north ramp is open - I see boats coming from the north bay every day.
