Hi all. This is my first post here at FM but I have been viewing the forums for at least a year. I will be making my first trip out to the river for the memorial day weekend. We will be staying in Chamberlain. Any one been out there this year or have any tips? Where should a person try fishing? I was planning on bringing an arsonal of jigs and spinners tipped with crawlers or minnows, and possibly pulling some raps. I guess any advice or even a single reply to my first post would make me feel warm and happy inside. Thanks and i look forward to contributing more to the forums.

Welcome to FM!! I really enjoy this site!!

I haven't been to Chamberlain since April, but from the reports I've been getting, sounds like the walleyes are starting to go on crawlers and spinners. Also sounds like the fishing is good if you just want to catch fish, because you will catch fish, just maybe not the ones for the frying pan.

I'm hoping the weather forecast improves for the weekend as I want to take my wife and 3 kids out. If all else fails, I'll probably make a power trip with my oldest boy for a day.

BTW, reports are good north (Crow Creek area) and South (White River area).

Thanks for the reply, Are there certain times of day that seem to produce better then others? I know this will definately vary from lake to lake and even day to day but i have found many of the bodies of water i frequent will display some sort of patterns.
