When cleaning I'll use a bucket of water with dish soap and a sponge and rinse with another bucket of water or use the hose. If you do use the hose only crack the sprayer for a light spray and do not spray directly at the wheel hubs or the bottom bracket, too high of a water pressure can force water past the seals and eventually ruin any bearings that get wet. I'll use a citrus degreaser on the chain, derailers and cogs. Using some different brushes to clean them. When done I'll luibricate the joints and grease the chain. I also wipe it down with a towel after the soap has been rinsed off.
