Ok, so I know 4 pics of 1st fish might be a little overboard, but if I had to express my excitement, I could go on for 10 hours.

A MONSTER thanks again to Chris Hanson for a great night on the water. Thanks for all the info and the guidance of detecting, feeling, setting, and landing my 1st ever flathead catfish. I owe you one (or two) buddy.

Am I hooked??? You better believe it. I'm quite sure I'll be spending a little more time in this forum as well!

For details on the evenings outing, see hanson's post here.

Pretty soon you will spend all your free nights on the river looking for one bigger. It happens.

Next thing ya know your speed dial on the telephone will be filled with bait shop numbers.

You will be celebrating the anniversary of your first flathead as your former wife leaves with everything but the rods and reels.

You will schedule work around fishing trips.

Oh wait thats me!

I tell ya, when you get the fish "when ya get that fish" it takes every thing you got to remember all specs and control item in photo. I personly have made about ten copies of control item and put them in my camara case, glove box of all my cars and truck, a couple in tackle box and a couple more in boat. I also have a couple of tape measure's going now in boat and tackel box. After all the hopela of getting fish, I could see how a man would forget this. I do not know if Tyler did not get photo with control item in it, but I have been meaning to bring this up. For the love of holy christ, remember control item in photo and measurments of fish before you throw them back. I have done this, luckly it was on small channels. My 2 cents, nice fish.
