jonny_redhorse
From what I've seen in the woods this last few weeks(with camera in hand) it's going to be a "bumper" year for the ruffies...I stopped counting the grouse drumming...yes...that many...I could stand in one spot and hear drummimg of various birds in different directions.....and even got to know 3 different birds on their same drumming logs for almost 4 weeks now...and...they are "still" drumming...they certainly drum for more then a week for sure, atleast in this area I frequent..here's a couple pics from the last week or so... JEV
Yep, I still heard grouse drumming last week and even the sharptail are still dancing. There are a pair of sharptail that dance on a county road on the way to work. I have to slow down and chase them off the road every morning....JEV
tealitup
Do you think you can post a picture of the Sharp tails? I honesty do not know if I have ever seen one in the wild. Must be an awesome sight.
JEV
I'll try. I was going to snap a photo yesterday but the batteries were dead in my digital camera. My wife drives the same road in the morning on her way to work a little after me, and claims the one sharptail chases her van and tries to run her off the road...
