Lowrance 332c settings

Genofish

Question

What settings do you guys use for surface clarity, noise reduction, ping speed, color line, and sensitivity on the Lowrance units? My FL-18 shows more fish than my 332c does?

I don't think there is one correct answer for those settings and it really comes down to experimenting in different waters and different depths. I've been told by experienced tourney fishermen that they run their sensitivity at almost 100% all the time. There will be a lot of clutter on the screen but it is much easier to spot fish as well as baitfish. I know that it really did wonders with the X-15 I had when I cranked up the sensitivity, but in shallower conditions it may not be feasible to turn it up that high due to the clutter.

I just got my first color graph and have the color line set at around 80% and it seems to be OK. More time with it will dictate where it will eventually end up.

Ping speed is either 75% or 100%. Typically at 100%.

Surface clarity on low, but can depend on where I'm fishing and what the lake is like.

Noise reduction I believe is off on my unit.

Make sure your transducer is pointing straight down and just keep playing with the different settings. I think that fine tuning the sensitivity and color line will evenutally get you where you need to be.
