Bemidji Area ATV Death

Yesterday a 66 year old woman from north of Blackduck died when she rolled her ATV on MN HWY 1. I do not know the specifics yet, but I know her and where it happened.

She is not the "type" you would expect to hear this about, but it goes to show how everyone should take safety precautions , wear a helmet and stay off pavement.

My thoughts go out to the family.

It really makes a guy think. I was out this weekend having a good time feeling 10' tall an bullet proof.

The quads out there now have so much power and can reach 65+ in no time.

If you guys don't have helmets get one. They keep the dirt out of your hair....protect you from branches and rocks, keep you warm, keep you dry, keep you cool and keep you safer.
