LovenLifeGuy
Is it ok for dogs to be on grass that has been fertilized or not? I did the front yard and have held off on the back due to the dog. Any brands or things I can do to make it safe. Thanks, LovenLifeGuy
LABS4ME
I usually keep my dogs off a freshly fertilized lawn until it is watered in. If I used a weed killer, I keep them off for 2 days or so. If in doubt, wipe their paws with a wet towel when they come in the house. There are organic brands of fertilizer out there... thye should not have any effect on your dogs if you use them.Good Luck!Ken
Gus
All the fertilizers I've used have specified on the package what the protocol is for the product. I would go by that.
Powerstroke
Once watered in it will be fine. With herbicides, once they are dry then they are set too. If rain can't wash it off your dog can't lick it off.
LABS4ME
Granular herbicides are dry to begin with and the accompanying dust needs to be watered in before I will let my dogs run through the lawn... The weed and feeds need to go through a couple sprinkler cycles or a good rain to be thoroughly washed into the soil or absorbed into the plant. I know what the inside of my fert. spreader looks like after I fertilize and can imagine some of that sticks to my dogs paws...Good Luck!Ken
