Trolling Motor Battery

Is there an advantage or disadvanatge to using 2) 12v batteries in parallel (double current)

on a 12volt trolling motor?

Advantage - you get 2X the run time...

If you've got space and can handle the extra weight in your rig I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

I have a double trolling motor battery compartment in my Lund. I also have a 3 bank charger that i use for the starting battery and 1 trolling motor battery (2 banks hooked to this battery). If i connect 2 batteries in parellel should i put 1 bank on each or 2 banks on only 1 of the batteries?

The wiring from the charger - 1 bank per battery. It will not interfere with how you have the batteries hooked up for a trolling motor (same for series or parallel).
