Motor Problems

Had the boat out this morning started up fun ran good. Tried starting it later on. I turned the key and turned it back to off, but the motor kept on turning over. Hit the kill switch pulled out the key. It kept turning over. I ended up disconnecting it from the battery. Any ideas whats wrong??

I'd bet your starter bendix stuck in the up position. Knock it back down and lube it with a light oil.
