I am purchasing a Lowrance ifinder H20 color handheld. I need advice on whether I need the plus version or not. The plus version comes with a Map Creat topo CD rom, 32 mmc card, and a card reader. I have the '07 hot maps premium chip. I plan to use the unit for ice and open water fishing. Just wonder if the plus version is necessary. Thanks.

I would skip it. Then buy map create (which comes with a RAM card) and you can upload all the maps you want.. and use your PC to plan outings and explore lakes etc. Lakemaster maps are great.
