Rodbenders Anonymous sounds good to me. Can't wait for this to get started. I have caught numerous Channels this spring and hoping to get a Flathead soon. Hopefully I will have the boat up and ready later this week. I had planned on getting after flats this past weekend but Moore's had just closed and my closest bullhead spot wasn't producing.

it's fine. it is my personal best so i am still excited. we just weren't sure what was up with the start date. either way i hope to top it again. those buggers were biting like mad last night. we landed 154 lbs of flatheads last night. top 4 flats were 34, 26, 25, and 16 lbs. let's do this! laugh.gif

Well, I got out Saturday and had 1 short lived clicker run on cut shad. So no channels on the board yet. I did manage to get 2 small Flatheads on bullheads though. They were close in size. The bigger of the two was 24x15 and 6 pounds 11 oz. They were caught out of the Mississippi. Riverhog also had a run on a bullie but when he set the hook, the point of the hook was turned back into the body of the bullhead and didn't hook up.

Riverhog did manage to get a couple channels earlier in the evening while we were on the MN river. Not much size to any of the fish we caught, but its a start.

Toward the end of the month I will also be down in your area doing some camping in St. Peter. I camped there last July and liked that stretch of river. It was extremely hot and the water was low but it was still a good time. I think Papa Grump even cruised by in the Pro one of the days I was there.

here is the nice little flatty I got last night just as the rain started falling. 37"x 21", 20.5 lbs caught on cut bait. Thanks to the enemies ( Harvey Lee and Dtro) for giving up some bait to me or else grin.gifth_37x21flat.jpg
