Pool 2 bass pics

First trip out this year, if it wasnt so windy probably could have gotten into some more fish but was very limited as to where I could fish. It was nice to get that first one of the season though.

what time were you out? i was shore fishing 8-10, only saw 2 boats, 1 red, could that have been you?

I was fishing the st paul park area around 11-2. I dont think you would have been shore fishing near where I was fishing though.

Made my first trip out to pool 2 today, too. I Got a couple smallies and a medium pike. All my fish came while draging ringworms on a lite jighead.

So the key bait this spring is the chartruese/red spinnerbait with a willow and colorado blade. Interesting. ha

Nice smallie, looks around 3 or 4 pounds. So you were fishing the Minnesota side on Pool 4 between Lake City and the south end of Lake Pepin? Just analyzing the picture, ha ha. Am I close?

Nowhere close...it was 21 1/4 inches 5lbs 8oz. Pool 5

Yeah, he's definately not on main chanel in that pic. Looks like pool 5 to me.

Made it out to pool 2 today from 4-7. Caught 5 fish. 3 dinks, a 15 incher, and an 18 in 4lb 9oz pig. All the fish were caught on a spinnerbait in 2-4 ft of water. I also missed a couple and lost another real nice fish. They didnt seem to be hitting it very well, but they are really starting to get active compared to last weekend. I think the next couple of weeks are going to be awesome
