asian beetles and boxelder bugs

Whats the cure for these darn bugs, can't shake them!!!

I haven't had too much trouble with the asian beetle but have had a lot of boxelder bugs on the front of my garage. They seem to be coming up from under the asphalt where it meets the concrete garage floor. I sprinkle them with Sevin dust that you use on the garden. They don't like that stuff one bit. After about two treatments they haven't come back. Just had to sweep up all the dead ones. Hope this helps, seemed to work for me.

It is really tough to get rid of the asian beetles. Repeated applications of the proper chemical apparently slow their propogation. They are unpleasant beasts. The boxelder bugs are totally benign-annoying maybe, but they do no damage. Shucks, they're so peaceful and laid back you couldn't even make a horror movies about them!

The only bad thing about the boxelder bugs is the little red mess they leave behind.

I have seen them completely cover the sides of a barn - that could be in a horror movie.

for boxelder bugs mix dish soap with water in a spray bottle and go to town for some reason it kills them. i use about a 2 second squirt into the spray bottle the rest is water.

I've heard this works as well. Never tried it though. I believe it works because boxelders have breathing holes on their backs, so when you spray them with soap, it cloags up their airway.
