Side Imaging - Hummingbird

Has anyone used this Side Imaging unit made by Hummingbird? If so, what are your thoughts about it?

I currently use a Hummingbird LCD unit and I am not real impressed with it.

I have it on my new boat but have not tried it on the water. At the end of the message thread that is a Yahoo group mentioned. I would highly recommend reviewing it if you are considering getting one. Good Fishing!!

You should ask Rusty - Whiskers Guide Service. He has one and it is unbelievable. We've used in in the Red River alot and you can really see structure, Sunken Trees etc with it. IT shows fish as white. Cool. Bruce Mosher

I haven't used it for fishing, but it does a good job of showing structure. I dont know how well it would show fish though based on my experience. I have used one for about 6 hours (continually stared at it) and can't say that I saw even one fish. But it was really good showing the structure, that part was impressive.

Go to youtube and search sideimaging. There will be a video with Al Linder and a couple others. You will be able to see this in action. Cool stuff.
