Lakemaster chip question

I was wondering if I got a lakemaster chip can I only use that chip on lowrance products? or could I use that chip in an eagle or garmin fishfinder or gps?? im looking into maybe getting a color eagle gps unit

It should work fine in the Eagle, but to be sure there should be info on the LM HSOforum and/or the Eagle HSOforum about what units are compatable.
