snow geese? in minnesota? heck yeah!

hey guys theres huntable numbers of snows and blues all over around lake artichoke and lake oliver in western minnesota; anybody headed out that way for easter should bring the gear along!

depends, if its shadowgrass/max4 cabelas has them at $160 brand new, if its kackie color they have them listed at $130, i would guess if its in pretty good shape you could get between $80 and $100 for it. but if u really wanna get rid of it i'll give you $50

Here is another report. Go west of Ivanhoe about 5 to 7 miles or so. There is a WMA on the north side of 19 that has a nice size body of water on it. It was covered with snows and blues today (in the morning and the afternoon.) They were there on Friday as well and were working a picked corn field in a WMA to the east. I would not recommend this to anybody outside the Ivanhoe area. One blast at those birds, and they will be gone. And be careful how you approach them. Do not let them see you leave your car or sneaking up on them. And one more careful note, there are quite a few specklebellys with them. But there are a enough snows for a good, quick shoot if you play it right.

Well, they were still there this morning. They were landing in a corn field to the east of the WMA. Basically right across the road. If someone wants some SOBs, and lives in the Marshall/Ivanhoe area, go get 'em. A guy who sets up in that ditch between the geese and the water will have some opportunities.
