Last 4 Races

As a Dale Jr. fan I have enjoyed seeing him move up +29 places (after a dismal Daytona and California) in the last 4 races to his current position of 11th.

Anyhow, for fun, and since I had a few minutes, I figured how many points each driver currently in the top 12 (current chase drivers) had accrued during the 4 races in which Jr. has been able to move up.

NOTE: These are not the current standings, but listed in order the points the driver's have earned over the last 4 races.

1 - Jimmy Johnson - 690

2 - Jeff Gordon - 657

3 - Jeff Burton - 608

4 - Matt Kenseth - 604

5 - Dale Jr. - 567

5 - Denny Hamlin - 567

7 - Kyle Busch - 565

8 - Tony Stewart - 540

8 - Carl Edwards - 540

10- Jamie McMurray- 528

11- Clint Bowyer - 487

12- Kevin Harvick - 380

As much as I dislike Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon, putting up 690 and 657 points in 4 races in pretty darn impressive, so I have to give credit where credit is due. The Hendrink bunch is on a roll right now.

It was nice for me to see that since Daytona and California Dale Jr. is doing pretty well. Aside from the Daytona wreck and the California engine, he is holding his own.

It still real early in the season though, anything can happen!

Looks to me like the ones that would be doing well are. Jr had some bad luck in the first couple races and since that time has come on very well. Yes, the Hendrick cars are doing very, very well. Another that has been doing pretty good to date is Juan M. Its a long season and it will be interesting to see if he continues his good runs.

McMurray would be the longshot in that group, IMO and is the most likely to not be there in the end...or within 10 races from now for that matter unless they have a new lucky rabbit's foot.
