efgh
Does anyone have a problem with this, how do you get rid of it? It is all around our flower beds and we can;t use chemical to spray it, because we don;t want to kill the flowers.
harvey lee
If you wanted to take the time you could use a q-tip and some roundup and wet the q-tip and touch each plant. It would be slow and you would have to be carefull but you would get the job done. I have done this before and it does take out anything in short order. Another option would be to wait until the ground is really wet and pull them by hand. Again, lots of hard work but it will get the job done without damaging any other plants or grass. It will also cut into the fishing time.

If you do a google, you MIGHT find a mix ratio for 20 mule team borax and something..... don't really remember what it is though. You can use a broadleaf herbicide on it, unless it's IN the flower bed as well. If it's along side, you're fine, just don't get any of the spray on the flower plants. It's not a chemical that's going to move through the roots.Cover the flowers, or have the wife or someone hold a piece of cardboard between the flowers and plant material that you're spraying.Best time to attack creeping charlie, however, is right after the first hard frost / freeze in the fall....... JIGGIT
The 20 Mule Team Borax works great and can be applied all year with results. I mix 1/2 cup borax with one gallon water in a hand sprayer. Soak the area just enough to get the plants(creeping charlie)wet. This will bleach the grass, but will not kill the grass. The green color will come back to the grass as it grows (approx. 10 days to two weeks)
efgh
I heard about using Borax, but didn;t know what it was mixed with, plain water, sure will be simple. Thanks, will hit the Charlie with this.
TwinkeeDink
I have a neighbor that has a problem with it and uses 2-4 D(?). Definitely does the trick and no problems with the grass at all.
