Apple trees, what to plant??

I want to plant some apple trees in nw wisconsin on some land I own, is there a better tree that will grow in that climate?

NW 'Sconi is in zone 4 for tree hardiness. What kind of soil would you be planting the apple trees in? The Apple Early Harvest (which grows yellow apples) and the apple Lodi (which is a green apple) both grow in that zone but require moist, well drained soil.

the soil is mostly sandy, it has a few inches of rich top soil.
