Prop question..

Kylersk

Question

I looked at the prop on my boat, it has a 13 3/4 x 15 prop. I believe the 15 is the pitch? Does that seem right or kind of low? It's on a 115 evinrude pushing a 1750 sport fish, both year 2000. I havnt had the boat in the water and bought it used from a dealer. The dealer said if the RPM's were not in the 5500 range, to let them know and they'd change the prop. Either way, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

See how she does. Your standard choices range from 13 3/4x15 to 13x21. So it may be 15 pitch but its 13 3/4 diameter also. Then theres cupped props. Whats the prop number, J1-15P or J1-15SP(cupped).

The only other number I saw on it was 391198.

OK thats an OEM #, I listed a replacement. Anyway you have a cupped prop. When you get it on the water note your RPMs at WOT. Do that with an average load in the boat. (gear, gas and passengers). Post the results or better yet talk with Jay at Soderbloom he'll get you setup.
