marine_man
They can probably hear the motor steering, but they can also probably you shifting your feet, etc. I've caught fish while steering, if that is any indication...marine_man
eyepatrol
I wouldn't worry about it too much. People from the novice angler to the pro's catch plenty of fish of all species both deep and shallow utilizing their electric trolling motor, constantly making turns and movements to keep their boat positioned correctly. The only time it would probably have an adverse affect on the fish is if/when you are right on top of them in shallow water.
