Lowrance backbone

so now that they came up with this great backbone idea i cant just use my old gps reciever with a new unit? in the past when upgrading it was just plug in and go - now i have to rewire my boat to accept this stupid backbone system that is only going to work for the dash mounted sonar/gps anyway...... is there a way around this? wish i would have been told before i spent the money - course it would of helped if i did the install more than 3 days before my first trip

have a x112 that i am trying to hookup with old x-19 componints - was already told the temp will not work on from my transducer if it works at all - i plugged in the power and transducer and the unit did turn on and seemed to work.

Does the LCX 19 have blue twist lock connectors?

If you have units that are compatable it is a very easy system. I myself have it rigged in my boat and I am very happy with how it works.
