Warn winch

Anyone had any trouble with the Warn winch cable? I pulled mine out

to pull my lawn tractor when it died and I already see the cable fraying. Nice! Not bad for brand new!

Throw the cable away, and get some synthetic winch rope! You'll be HAPPY you did!

I have heard good things about the synthetic, what have you gone with? Best pricing? I have 2 wheelers to purchase for.

I purchased my synthetic rope from the "Big" online auction site. It is Amsteel synthetic winch rope. If you do a search you will find it on that site as well as others. I think you can get it for $100 with the rope and the fairlead. They recommend a hawse fairlead, not a roller. Although if your roller is in new condition, you could probably use it.As far as name brand of rope,Warn makes their own, and there could be several others. Get the 3/16" diameter rope, and not the 1/4" as you can only get 50' of the 3/16" on the Warn. The 3/16" is rated to 5400 lbs.Hope this helps!
