My dad has one, it tows OK. He hauls around a smaller/medium camper trailer and a small boat. Last summer he made it from Arkansas to Alaska and back with the trailer without issue. I towed an older[heavier] 17ft deep V boat with it once and it felt under powered.

I think they sacraficed some towing capabilties with the 5 cilinder and the newer suspension on the Colorado as opposed to the S10. Pretty nice truck though.

I have one and before that i owned on s10. The colorado with the 5 cyl. in it is by far better at towing than an s10 w/ a 6 cyl. You won't get very good mileage towing( will be about the same as a full size) but when I am not towing I can get 20-21 mpg(I have 4 door crew cab, you can get better with the smaller cabs). I can tow around my heavy 16ft older style lund with no problem. I don't think you will have a problem.
