Question

I was looking through the new Cabelas fishing catalog, I started thinking about how I usually buy many of the same colors, one of which is red. Cajun line states that red is invisible under water. What's the deal? Any thoughts appreciated.

Red line has been used for saltwater fishing for almost as long as there has been monofilament. It's supposed to be "invisible" at depths below 15 feet. Don't buy it for freshwater fishing. If you need a line that's visible, go with a fluorescent.

not a fan of hi vis stuff myself but cajun red line is great stuff. Its highly visible even though its not designed to be and it dissapears just awesome in esp red stained water up north. Inky green water down south hides the red line very nicely too
